Get ready for takeoff!

Libertango is a school of Argentine tango in Cape Town. Run by Rachael Glaser, Libertango offers tango lessons and organises tango social events in the Mother City. Rachael has been dancing tango since 2001 and has lived in the home of tango, Buenos Aires, for two years where she studied the dance intensively with some of the world's best teachers and spent her nights at milongas and practicas dancing with the locals. Rachael teaches the tango as a form of meditation, creative fun and connection between people. She brings her passion for the dance to all elements of the business.

Beginners Course starting 14 June

Learn to dance the ultimate dance. The beginners course is for absolute beginners. Over a period of 6 lessons (9 hours) in three weeks you will be taught the basic steps and culture of the Argentine tango. WALK IN.... DANCE OUT!!

Dates and Times:

Thursdays: 14, 28 June, 5 July:  6:45- 8:15 pm
Saturdays: 16, 23, 30 June : 5- 6:30 pm

Venue: Observatory Recreation Centre, Corner Collingwood and Rawson Roads, Observatory - FREE SECURE PARKING

Cost: R450 per person

Rocio Lequio's tango workshops in Cape Town and Gran Milonga with Performance 21, 22 June

Capetonians will be fortunate to have the opportunity to have 3 workshops in Cape Town on 21 and 22 June. Rocio is a senior teacher at the world-renowned DNI school in Buenos Aires.

Rocio is a stunning dancer and a fantastic teacher. She has performed locally in Buenos Aires and internationally. Her teaching style is fun, approachable and accessible

She will also be performing at the Gran Milonga Africana on Friday 22 with Erik Peers of Tango La Plata in Johannesburg.
