“Love is TANGO and TANGO is love! Yes, it is a dance, yet so much more than just any dance. It is an ongoing conversation between two souls, two hearts and two bodies. It is a sacred dance we enter in with one another, where both 'masculine' and 'feminine' feel fully expressed and honored” - Ilona Glinarsky

Join us for a retreat of love and movement in the beautiful space of Temenos in Mcgregor over Valentine’s weekend. Rachael Glaser, Director of Libertango dance school, will guide couples through an introduction to the sensual and meditative experience of world’s most captivating dance in which she will show how two people can move as a fluid unit through joint cooperation, receptiveness, surrendering and yielding.

An introductory talk on the Argentine tango, its history and culture
Two evenings of candlelit learning and dancing (Fri 13th, Sat,14th)
Two day-time workshops (Sat 14th)
Two breakfasts and two dinners
Two nights accommodation (Fri 13th and Sat 14th) - with the 15th offered FREE of charge
Time to relax and enjoy the beautiful gardens of Temenos
The dancing will take place at the church hall one block from Temenos.

What is the Argentine Tango?
The tango is a dance of connection from the heart in which the embrace is central to the merging of two bodies in a non-verbal conversation. Unlike ballroom dancing, it is not a dance of set sequences. It is a walking dance of improvised lead and follow that requires absolute focus and cooperation between dancers.

Why the tango is good for your relationship?
Tango is so much more than a dance. Through the unique improvisation of the dance we develop a heightened sensitivity to the other while we work to find our common balance. It provides with opportunities of greater awareness of ourselves and our partner, to practice mindfulness, generosity, acceptance and a stronger sensual connection.

What you need to bring
