    • Why choose Libertango?
I have studied all forms of dance under many tutors and the Argentine Tango is my latest passion. I feel very privileged to have found Rachael as she has the amazing ability to understand the dynamics required to ensure students are left feeling great about themselves with a sense of achievement, challenge and enjoyment. Rachael's passion for the Tango is 'infectious'...I am so pleased I have 'caught' it!

Rachael is a gifted and superb teacher.   From the very first lesson, she helped me understand key principles of tango and how to execute specific steps, something that I appreciated very much as a beginner;  but she also was able to convey, once we started dancing, the complex and subtle connections that emerge between tango dancers   ---trust, belief, empathy, attention to the moment, and resilience.   I am very grateful to Rachael for having introduced me to tango.  I can’t imagine a better start.

Rachael's passion for tango combined with her love of life makes learning tango a wonderful and never ending experience. Rachael is a natural teacher. Anyone wanting to learn tango will not only learn how to dance tango, but learn about the music, the history of tango and about life. I am constantly inspired by Rachael, by her knowledge, her patience and her dedication to her teaching. Rachael teaches in a way that makes everyone feel welcome, she gives individual attention and breaks this very difficult dance of tango down into minute detail.

Rachael's ability to create a safe space to learn(humour/professional) the fine style of Argentinian tango will make it worthwhile for anyone who consider taking the step. Knowing she will meet you wherever you are at in the world of dancing, I can recommend her classes.

Rachael is a warm, friendly teacher who puts her pupils at ease. Although she encourages us to aspire to good technique she also infuses the lessons with fun, laughter and the passion for the dance.

Rachel is a wonderful teacher, especially if you are a beginner. She gives very clear, but gentle direction. I never felt as though I didn't know what I was doing in her class.

My partner and I really enjoyed learning the tango with her.

I have had many lessons with Rachael and other teachers and in my opinion Rachael most effectively expresses the passion and charm of the Argentine Tango, while at the same time using an excellent teaching approach that gets you dancing well in a short space of time.

A recent trip to Cape Town gave us the opportunity to take some tango lessons, something that is not available where we stay in KZN. We chose Rachael Glaser because we liked the way she presented herself on her Libertango internet site and we arranged two private classes with her.

Now at home again, as we reflect upon our short stay in the Cape and the things we brought back with us, we have some consumables which will soon be gone and some memories which will fade over time.  What will stay with us and develop further are the things we learned from our tango lessons.

What an experience it was to spend those two hours with Rachael!  We expected that we might learn a few new dance steps, which we did, but we came away with a whole new appreciation that Argentine tango is much more than just another dance with some sexy moves thrown in.

Rachael's teaching was excellent and there was no doubting her expertise and experience.  She quickly tuned into us and established a rapport, and was very enthusiastic and interactive. She showed a keen eye in spotting our problem areas (perhaps not so difficult with us) and, most importantly, knew the subtleties of how to correct them. We liked that she dealt with both physiology and attitude which were key factors in achieving the most significant outcome: that she laid the foundation for us to develop further by ourselves.

Thank you Rachael; we are much looking forward to the next time.

Thank you very much for crossing my path on this journey of life. I said you are a special teacher...I now know why I said it . You exude a special spirituality which I respect and have derived something beyond normal consciousness. Thank you very very much. I will continue to want to learn and experience the meditative aspect of the Tango.

You have an informal, easy-going way of teaching which really works well ...  the technical aspect can get people in their heads too much & you've kept it fun and made it feel really easy.  I particularly liked the fact that you are so encouraging.  Your lightness about tango made it clear that it's a social, fun thing - thanks so much for that!  I loved that you stressed the connection between dancers rather than fancy steps or technical brilliance ... that gives everyone a chance & then dancing's more about a bigger picture (something spiritual) and not small-minded competition or constant striving.
