My Inspiration...
I love teaching tango. I learn something new in each lesson. The revelations that I see in my students and the love they develop for this dance inspires me.
In lessons I focus on various levels. Tango is not only about dance steps, what we do with our feet. It is about learning to use the whole body to dance - from the top of the head to the toes. Most importantly, its is about connection with your partner- creating an energetic partnership that enables you to move smoothly together across the dance floor. It is about discovering subtlties of movement and flow that are really satisfiying and turn on the light bulb that says "aha!!"
Tango brings out personal stuff - how we work intimately with another person, how we manage our confidence. How we project our own feelings onto others. The dance gives us an opportunity to observe this in a semi-structured fun environment. Interesting. An opportunity to grow.

While discovering movement within the connection of the couple, students increase the variety of steps that they an dance. Most important is the development of confidence. I try to demystify the steps into their core body and movement components so that anyone can understand how the movement works. I recommend that you attend prakticas to revise steps and weekyl social events in Cape Town. The lessons are offered in cycles of 4. Each lesson is indendent. You may take one or all four. Lesson are R70 per person. They are discounted if you come to 4 consecutive lessons.

The tango is an embrace
Level 1 (Beginners) - coming up soon in June
For people who have never danced Argentine tango, you will learn the basic steps and the culture of the dance .You will sample the alluring sensuality of tango that captivates hearts the world over. This is an intensive programme of 9 hours over 3 weeks.
Dates and Times:
The course runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Wednesdays: 5, 12 ,19 June - 7:55 - 9:20 pm
Saturdays: 8, 15, 22 June 5:00 - 6:30 pm

Level 2 and 3

For people who have attended a Beginners Course, this course aims to consolidate what you learned in the Beginners Course and introduce you to new steps while we improve technique and develop confidence. At this level developing confidence should be your goal. YOU CAN DANCE TANGO!!!
Level 3 currently on Wednesday 6:45 - 7:45 pm, Observatory Recreation Centre, secure parking
For people who have been dancing consistently for six months or more and have a solid grounding in the basics with the ability to adapt to different steps.

Argentine Teachers
I am dedicated to sponsoring and hosting international high level Argentine tango teachers in South Africa, so that South African dancers can be exposed to the best of tango.
Payment Policy
For courses, full payment should be made upfront before the start of the course.
Payment Options:
1. R75 per individual class
2. R240 for a consecutive set of 4 lessons (If you miss one you may use the credit towards a private lesson or take one of the Level 1 classes.
3. R360 for 6 lessons over 8 consecutive weeks. "Membership" (Set of 8 starts from the first lesson you attend at the beginning of the membership)
