Jose Halfon in Cape Town!

Picture
Jose Halfon and Rachael Glaser
In February and July 2011, and April 2012 Libertango hosted Jose Halfon, Argentine tango maestro. Jose and his partner Virginia Cutillo are internationally renowned for their special flavour of tango salon. Jose and Rachael ran a beginners programme and several more advanced sessions. The week was full of fun and a good challenge for all involved.  Here's what students had to say about Jose's teaching:

"Having Jose in Cape Town was a wonderful way to start Tango-ing for me. Jose is not just an amazing dancer; he is also a great Tango teacher who brings humor & a smile to the dancing class. Hopefully he’ll return to Cape Town one day and we can learn more from him  ...or just watch him dance!
Muchas gracias, Jose!" - Anja

"Jose was is an excellent introduction to Tango.  I had never taken up any dance lessons before, and he made a series of intricate movements simple to follow.  His calmness and obvious expertise was also very encouraging." Ruth
