Why choose Libertango?
It makes me happy that several Libertango students have the confidence and ability to dance at socials regularly and have tested their tango skills at an international level.
I have had the extraordinary opportunity to live in Buenos Aires, the home of Argentine tango over two years where I had first hand access to study with the tango maestros and attended hundreds of social dancing events. My fluency in Spanish enabled me to access teaching usually reserved for Argentine locals. My initial training in Applied Anatomy, as a Communications Therapist an adult educator has greatly informed my teaching. As a dancer I am skilled in both leading and following.

The style of tango I love best has a smooth and languid quality, characterized by tango salon. However, I am not married to any particular style of Argentine tango. I draw from teachers who have studied the anatomy and physics of movement and focus on a form that emphasises natural body movement and dynamics. I love the closed embrace, fusing traditional and modern elements.
My teachers have included Ruben and Sabrina Veliz, Jose Halfon and Virginia Cutillo, Dana Frigoli, Julio Balmaceda , Gustavo Naveira, Moira Castellano , Horacio Godoy, Pablo Inza, Gabriel Glagovsky and Mariana Dragone, amongst others. In addition to my tango training, I have a Bachelor of Science focusing on applied anatomy and the relationship between anatomy and movement and a qualification in adult education.
